The project is a vector maps of Moscow and St. Petersburg metro, developed by 4D design specialists.
The maps have been designed for use on various devices, but especially for mobile devices. It is possible to install as an application and work without connecting to the network.
In the design, the main goal was using of established principles and design elements, so that the maps could easily be used by guests of 2 capitals, including from foreign countries.
The main features of the project
- The concept of the maps is designed in the style of London Undeground map, which is a kind of a standard for transport maps.
- Minimalist, modern, compact and informative design, adapted to the peculiarities of cities.
- Install as an application, work offline (PWA).
- Intuitive control with touch gestures or mouse.
- Two types of titles for each scheme — Russian and transliteration, with the ability to quickly switch.
- Ability to download maps for printing.
- Integration with the project "The Мetro of the 2 сapitals".
Due to convenience and ease of use, it was decided to continue the development of the project and supplement it with metro maps of other cities.
In 2019, the Minsk metro map was added.
